Karate Belt Display

Karate Belt DisplayKarate belts are tough to earn, and many people choose to keep those belts as a token or reminder of all that hard work, as opposed to passing their belt down to a younger student. A karate belt display is often the best way to preserve those hard earned belts.

A karate belt display can have anywhere from 6 to 12 levels depending on the style that is practiced. Some are designed for only one belt however. They are usually arranged horizontally so the display is taller rather than wider and provides a nice sweep of color. Many are designed to look at home in any dojo, home or gym. They can be built into small tables, or hung on the wall as a plaque.

While many people choose to use a karate belt display to show off their ranking, it is a fairly new development. In the past students received only one white belt which they then dyed to the appropriate color as they gained skill and ranking. When colored belts began being manufactured cheaply most students stopped the practice of dying their own belts, but would pass their belts down to younger students when they progressed.
